Eight is Enough Messageboards

      OK, How can you see that segment of inside edition and not see that something is
      TERRIBLY wrong with Susan. 

      It was great to see the rest of the cast and hear the "behind the scenes" stories,
      though.

      It was way too short though, didn't give them a chance to say much, and they didn't
      even have a sound bite from Laurie Walters, one of my favs of the cast.

      It was great to see the cast of Eight Is Enough on Inside Edition. I really wanted
      to see Betty Buckley. Better luck next time.

      Yeah, Betty wasn't even mentioned. Oh and Laurie did speak a few lines... she confirmed
      that her and Grant dated.

      Does anyone know what may have happened to Susan Richardson health-wise?
      
      Just saw an interview on Inside Edition with the cast and she seems to have some sort
      of speech problem. Always was my favorite on that show, and she seems to be a real
      sweetheart ! Thanks !

      I missed Inside Edition because I don't know what time it's on, and I couldn't find
      it listed in the TV listings? Does anybody else live in the Philadelphia area, is
      it even on here?

      So tell me, which cast members were on, and what are they doing now? I'm particularly
      interesting in hearing about Laurie, Dianne, and Connie.

      Somebody mentioned Betty wasn't on, that's a shame, that would have been neat if
      she'd sung a song or something. I saw her in concert in July, and she was awesome!

      Anyway, somebody please fill me in on all the details!!!!!!!

      They all made an appearance except Betty, I didn't expect Betty to be on it, though
      I was surprised her name was never even mentioned. It was a nice segment, pretty upbeat,
      they touched on the casts past drug probs, etc but mostly just caught each other and
      us up on what's happened to them since the show went off the air. I'll fill you in
      on Laurie, Connie and Dianne since you're most interested in them. Laurie recently got
      married and she confirmed that her and Grant dated a little during EIE. She was sick
      and wasn't on the segment much. Connie is still married to the same guy she married
      during EIE and has 2 or 3 daughters (I can't remember... anyone?) she also revealed
      that her and Willie dated a bit during EIE and Dianne said that she has a daughter
      now too, oh and Adam had a crush on Dianne lol. They all looked great, the whole cast.
      Susan's hair is red again! :-) Mostly it was the cast, some in the same place, some on
      the phone, saying hi to each other.

      Hey Julie, thanks for the info! That's interesting that Laurie and Grant dated and
      so did Connie and Willie. I never knew that. That's a shame they didn't even mention
      Betty. You said Laurie was recently married; is this her first

Spoke to Susan about Inside Edition

      I spoke to Susan today and she wanted me to let everyone know that she appreciates
      the e-mail I've been sending to her from the website and also that she feels real
      good about the EIGHT IS ENOUGH "reunion" interview on this past week's INSIDE EDITION.
      
      She felt much more comfortable with the IE crew than she did with the people from
      EXTRA, and believes that came across. Rather than feeling ambushed and confronted,
      Susan says she felt happy that she was "with" her co-stars in a much more pleasing
      situation.

      Susan doesn't have a computer, and I apologize for doing the talking for her, but
      right now this is the only way she feels she can convey her gratitude and thanks to
      everyone who has shown their support. If things change in the near future where she
      is set up to connect with everyone more directly, I'll be sure to post the notice on
      the messageboard. 

      There ARE some exciting things looming for Susan in the next few weeks that should
      please everyone who wants to hear more about her recent experiences. It's too soon
      to talk about them right now, but she told me to say that as soon as she can, she
      will let everyone know about these projects. In the meantime, she and Don are doing
      well, and as always, she says she misses everyone from the show, and she thanks her
      fans...especially for their loyalty and their
      love.

A few more IE questions

      Did any of the cast members say where they're living now? (Although I do know that
      Grant is in Seattle and Susan is in Pennsylvania) How old is Dianne's daughter?

      Do the other cast members have kids? Are any of them planning any
      guest appearances on any other shows? What is Dick doing these days?

      Thanks for asking those questions too, Missy. I would have loved to have seen how
      the cast looks now. I did download the audio portion of the segment but their wasn't
      any mention of how old Dianne's daughter is but it sounded like she just became a
      new mother. Grant has children too. He joked with Dick Van patten about how he is
      about the same age now as Dick Van Patten was portraying Tom Bradford. I think he said
      45. If you can download the audio its pretty good. D.T any possibility of getting some
      picture stills from the show?

      Thanks, Nancy. I do plan to try that audio thing sometime when I get a chance on our
      computer at home. Hope it works. I'm usually reading this board on my computer at the
      office, and since I work in a big office full of cubicles like Dilbert, I kind of shy
      away from downloading anything here that makes noise; I don't want to disturb anybody!
