The Truth About Susan

      John and Christine, since you know Susan personally, could you possibly fill us in
      on what's really going on with Susan?
      
      I tend to take those stories in the Star and on Extra with a grain of salt, and I
      seem to remember reading a post by one of you a while back that the people from
      Extra manipulated and twisted all her words when they were interviewing her for the
      show.
      
      What's the REAL story? Was there any grain of truth to that little blurb in the Star
      a few weeks ago about her being in some kind of mental facility? (And if there's NO
      truth to it, that's really a shame that someone can get away with totally fabricating
      a story like that; I think there should be some kind of law against these tabloids
      doing this! It REALLY bugs me!) Anyway, I'm not trying to collect gossip or something,
      I really care about Susan and am just curious about what's really going on with her.

      I was pretty surprised myself by what I had been reading.. in this case an October
      issue of Star. I don't know how they can get away with writing whatever they want.
      
      Anyway, I had been out of touch with what has been going on with the cast since the
      show ended. I was a huge fan and used to go see them filming on location at the
      "Bradford House" and at my college. I even went once to MGM to see them.. I was
      invited by Lani. Everyone was so nice! :)
      
      I wish nothing but the best for the cast and I felt sad reading this story about Susan.
      So, I am glad to hear that it's mostly an untruth.
      
      Still, it's upsetting that things like this can get written in the 1st place and that
      they can get away with it. Ugh... :(

      Dear Missy and Lisa:

      Thanks for asking about Susan. I spoke to her just the other day and she really IS
      doing fine...she has applied for a job working with small children at a "learn/play
      station", and seems to be really happy.The STAR did a hatchet job on her, as far as
      I'm concerned, and I was there during the taping of EXTRA so I can attest to the fact
      that she was manipulated during that whole interview. They deliberately manipulated
      her to look as if she was "out there", but believe me, she is totally sane and very
      healthy, both in mind and in body!

      Christine Lewis and I keep in pretty regular contact with Susan and we want to assure
      you that she is doing well. I don't know whether she will ever act again, but she is
      happy living in PA and is very interested in working with kids and doing what she can
      to nurture them in a school setting.

      I promise to keep you posted if Susan wants to deliver a message to her fans and
      friends at this website. I DO know that she appreciates everyone's concern--she is
      a wonderful, loving person, and I promise you that as her friend, I'm trying my best
      to look out for her and make sure that she doesn't get taken in by any more of those
      "slick-types" that only seem to want to exploit her.

      I feel bad for Susan as well, but I don't understand why she would even speak to a
      magazine as trashy as STAR in the first place. They ALWAYS manipulate stories, it's
      no secret. "Extra" isn't exactly known for it's quality journalism either.
      
      My advice to her is to stay far away from such trashy "magazines" even if they
      offer to pay her. It's the most negative publicity she could get. Hopefully she
      won't agree to anymore interviews when the tabloids come a' callin'.
