Has anyone read the book that eie is based on? I just ordered it from barnes and noble, I'm
looking forward to reading about the real family.

I read the book years ago. It's an easy read, probably a day or two between homework
      assignments : )

I read it a long time ago, like 1979 or 1980 or something like that. It was a cute book.

How did you find it?

Barnes and Noble had a second hand section on their web site, that's how I was able to
get it because it's out of print. Where did you find it?

I read it twice in the early-mid 80's when I was a teenager. Be prepared for a very
different view of the Bradford (Braden in this case) clan. Tom deals with some very real
issues (e.g. there aren't any "Night They Raided the Bradfords" incidents as I recall).

Another interesting factor was the time in which the story takes place. I BELIEVE he
writes of the family in the 1950's and 60's. Don't quote me on any of this. I'm writing
entirely from 15 year old memories.

If you want a *really* non EiE look at the Braden's, read Tom Braden's 1982 article
"A Father's Story." The copy I have is reprinted in the book "The Religious Case For
Abortion," edited by Hamilton Gregory, Madison & Polk Publishers, 1983.

Do you think it might be online somewhere?

I haven't found it online anywhere, but if anyone'd like a copy, drop me an email.
